Veterans Day
We don't have to love war in order to love our veterans and the sacrifices that they have made in order to keep this country safe.
Happy veterans day!

Are you happy now?
Well, here we are, a Supreme Court nominee with no ethics, an army that has freely admitted using phosphorus on civilians, Senate and house leaders that are acting like Mutt and Jeff with their demands for a bicameral investigation of the “secret prisons” leak, said secret prisons are being used by the CIA to hold and torture prisoners. Imagine, those stupid republicans want to fill the newspapers for months with their dirty laundry about torture we are doing in other countries! DUMB AS ROCKS!
Anyway, to continue, the house hammer, Delay, under indictment for laundering money, conspiracy to launder money, the list goes on. The Senate majority leader, Frist under investigation for insider trading. Republican insider Abramov under investigation for swindling Indian tribes, illegally funneling money to campaigns and who knows what all. The Vice Presidents aide under indictment for lying, obstruction of justice, etc. while the next thing coming down the road is Rove, the president’s special aide about to be indicted for outing a CIA agent. All of this against the background of a war that was started illegally and which is un-winnable and which has added to the largest deficit in the country’s history. Then there is the tax cuts for the rich that have fueled the deficit and promise to be a burden on the middle class for a looong time. Then there is the Patriot act, an attack on our civil rights.
And we have three more years of this Asshole?

The lies of commision, the lies of omission.
We are paying a price and we haven't
even been allowed to know what it is.
One picture is worth a thousand words
and we should stand witness to it all.
It is our obligation to those who fall.
The Pictures:
Republicans Anonymous by Alan Bisbort
Step 1: I admit that my life has become unmanageable due to my powerlessness over my untreated and chronic Republicanism.
Step 2: I believe that a power greater than Republicanism, alternately called facts and truth, can restore me to sanity.
Step 3: I have made a decision to turn my will and my life over to facts and truth.
Step 4: I have made a searching and fearless moral inventory of the Republican Party, and found it to be despicable and without any redeeming values whatsoever.
Step 5: I am admitting, in front of all these thousands of other anonymous Republicans, that I was wrong and deluded, and I am now sick and tired of the fear and the shame and the HIDING from my better instincts.
Step 6: I am entirely ready to have the impeachment process remove all the defects of character possessed by the Demon Republicanism.
Step 7: I humbly ask the people of the world who are not Republicans to forgive me and help me remove this terrible stain upon my character.
Step 8: I began to compile a list of all the people that my Republicanism has harmed and then gave up because I realized it has harmed all 6 billion people on the planet and I'd get writer's cramp trying to write all of their names down and, besides, the names from India and Solomon Islands are really hard to spell.
Step 9: I resolve to make amends to all of them, somehow.
Step 10: I will continue to monitor my latent Republicanism, knowing that, like all addictions, it may never fully leave me and thus I must be vigilant to catch myself before I start thinking like Newt Gingrich or one of those other helmet-haired white pundits who will be forgotten five minutes after the dirt and sod is kicked over their miserable bones.
Step 11: I have sought through meditation on the U.S. Constitution to improve my conscious contact with Democracy, as the forefathers designed it.
Step 12: I will try to carry this message to other Republicans and to use the newfound principles of facts and truth to counter the delusional race-baiting and fear-mongering that divides people rather than brings them together.
Keep coming back. Democracy works!
How True!
Whenever I meet a republican face-to-face the qoute from that
famous american, P.T. Barnum comes to mind:
"There's a sucker born every minute"
You gotta pity the poor folks!
They don't seem to have mastered simple logical thought.

What the hell is wrong
I heard a Repug senator say last night that he would have to vote his conscience on Scalito.
What the hell ever happened to the idea that these people are elected to represent us?
Does this nitwit think that he was elected by a one hundered percent vote of conservatives in his state? Fact is, he was elected to represent all the people in his state and the fact is that slightly less than half of them (those who voted against him) are moderates and progressives, he should be taking their ideas into consideration when he votes as well as the conservatives who voted for him!
You think not? Do you really think it is winner take all? This is a democracy and we have the right to influence the way our representatives vote, be we liberal or conservative. Actually, if the senator voted his states majority opinion, then he wouldn't vote for a conservative judge who will vote down Roe v. Wade because the majority wants to keep it!
